What we collect. Your name and email (via Stripe at checkout), the documents you upload (tender and drawings), your phone number if you provide it, and the ten onboarding answers about your build.

Why. To take payment, produce and deliver your report, and contact you about your order.

How long. Uploaded documents are deleted 30 days after report delivery. We keep only de-identified, anonymised cost data after that.

This Privacy Policy explains how Tender Check Pty Ltd ABN 00 000 000 000 ("we", "us", "Tender Check") handles personal information in connection with the report service at tender-check.com. We handle personal information in accordance with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles.

We do not use your information for unsolicited marketing, and we do not sell your personal information.

We share personal information only with service providers that help us run the service, and only to the extent they need it:

These providers are bound by their own privacy and security obligations. We do not disclose your personal information to your builder or to any other third party, except where required by law.

4. How we store and protect it

Your documents are stored in a private, access-controlled, encrypted storage bucket. They are not publicly accessible. Internal access to your documents is limited to the reviewer producing your report and is granted only via short-lived, signed links.

5. How long we keep it

We retain your uploaded documents (tender, drawings) and onboarding answers for 30 days following report delivery, for quality assurance and dispute resolution, after which they are deleted. After deletion we retain only anonymised, de-identified summary data — for example, line-item costs with no name, address, or other identifying detail — which we use to improve our calibration over time and which cannot be linked back to you. Order records (email, amount, dates) are retained for the period required by Australian tax and business-records law.

7. Cookies and analytics

The site uses only the cookies strictly necessary to operate the order flow (for example, the Stripe Checkout session). We do not use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies.

8. Complaints

If you have a privacy concern, contact us first at hello@tender-check.com and we will work to resolve it. If you are not satisfied with our response, you may lodge a complaint with the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC) at oaic.gov.au.

9. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The current version is always at this URL with the "last updated" date at the top.
